About Us
THE NAHAR HOUSE
The Nahar House is a compassionate and holistic residential program dedicated to supporting girls ages 6–18 who have experienced trauma and face emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. We provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment designed to promote healing, personal growth, and stability.
Our approach focuses on empowering each child to build resilience and develop the life skills needed to thrive. We emphasize family reintegration whenever possible, helping children reconnect and strengthen bonds with their families in a supportive and structured manner.
In special circumstances, if a resident turns eighteen and is expected to graduate by their nineteenth birthday while remaining in the custody of a court or public children services agency (PCSA), The Nahar House may allow the young adult to remain in our care until graduation to ensure a smooth transition into independence.

OUR MISSION
At The Nahar House, our mission is to create a safe haven where girls can heal, grow, and reclaim their sense of hope and purpose. We are committed to providing compassionate care, therapeutic support, and life-enriching opportunities that empower each child to overcome adversity and build a brighter future.
Through a trauma-informed and family-centered approach, we aim to help every girl develop the confidence, skills, and resilience needed to lead a healthy, fulfilling, and independent life.
