Independent Living
Arrangement (ILA) Program Description:

The Nahar House Independent Living Arrangement (ILA) semi-supervised program is designed to support 16-17-year-old residents who are in the custody of PCSA or PCPA, as they prepare for emancipation and life as an adult. The program focuses on providing the skills, resources, and guidance necessary for successful independent living while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

          About The Nahar House

The Nahar House is dedicated to providing a safe, holistic, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for girls ages 6-18 who have experienced trauma and are facing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. The program promotes family reintegration while our goal is to empower these young children to develop the skills and resilience needed to lead healthy lives. * If a current child of The Nahar House reaches age eighteen and is expected to graduate by their nineteenth birthday and remains in the custody of a court or public children service agency (PCSA) The Nahar House may allow that child to remain in the group home until graduation.

Program Purpose:

The purpose of The Nahar House is to address the unique needs of children placed through a comprehensive approach that includes mental health therapy, education, and life skills development. We aim to help our children overcome past traumas, build positive relationships, and achieve their full potential with onsite individual, family and group therapy sessions provided by The Nahar House licensed social worker.

Services Offered:
